if turns out to be the case that it will not run as listed to support, i will retrun if for a refund. i don't want to install high sierra on my desktop. I am installing a fresh install of 10.11. as well, perhap re-install 2.6.9, i did not save that, that was when i discovered NA was deleting the files, i though i had but i did back up 2.6.8 and my entire NI apps and Library files before the updates. may make it easy to isolate it rather than me sending the unit back for a return.
i am just on the desktop with it going over the new features with the multi monitors, nice to have the pdf manual open on one, and making sure it all works while i am in the return window.Īnyway as well i can load the original firmware back if i can get that, since it appears it may not be an issue with the maschine update to 2.6.10. the reality is i would not use the mk3 audio on my desktop but i would use it with the laptop. did not really want to update the OS on that this weekend. sometimes as well putting an "x" in front of the preferences folder works as if forces all new prefs to be created and you can move the needed ones back.Īlso, i should be able to just use it as an audio device on my laptop even if the system is not supported by m 2.6.10 since there is no driver. Sometimes deleting the audio prefs for an app works, but i don't think so in this case. Oh, wait, there is one more thing i can do, try the pram reset it may be corrupt firmware since it only occurred after i updated that. i am going to make it quick work by just installing a fresh virgin os on a spare HD with nothing installed except maschine. when it happens appears to be random, but seems to occur about everyĪny thoughts. changed the sample rates to 48 and then back to 44 and it is fine. It just did it right now, in the time i typed this it went from clean audio to useless audio.
this does not occur with any other sound cards. this makes the device mk3 audio unreliable. also if is simple move the sample rate from say 44.1 to 48 and back it will clear up and work fine again.
if i change the audio device in the prefs to another sound card and then go back and select the mk3 audio, it clears up. what happens is that i am using mk3 with headphones, read the NI info on this and setting the output for that, then i either open a new song, or do something like go to the finder or other app, i am on a mac with 10.11, and then when i go back to maschine i get reduced output and low quality audio with crackles. Noticed that now, after updating to 2.6.10 that i have audio issues that appear to be with the mk3 audio driver. MK3 and audio issues - crackles and low output
